Anti-migraine massage serves especially to remove and prevent headaches. The day-to-day stress that affects us reflects the most upon the area of the nape where the muscles stiffen and the bloodstream is compressed, which causes the headaches we know. During the anti-migraine massage, the lateral cervical muscles and mimetic muscles become absolutely relaxed. The massage includes the gentle use of acupressure points on the face and on the top of the head which releases an anti-stress effect. Indian Head Massage includes work on the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, face, scalp and hair. It is a seated treatment which can be undertaken fully clothed if preferred, and with or without the use of oils. Many cultures have used infant massage as part of baby care for hundreds of years, and research shows it can have many benefits. Infant massage enables you to learn about and respond to your baby's body language. It is also a wonderful way to make your baby feel safe and secure by touch and therefore showing that he or she is loved and cared for. Infant massage is a pleasant experience for both the mother and the infant, and whilst it does not always come naturally to mothers/parents, it is not difficult and it can be learned. Pre-Natal Massage 45 min £35.00
This total body treatment has been carefully designed for those who are expecting or have just had a baby. Taking account of all contra-indications, this treatment avoids the use of essential oils and is a luxurious treat using a Calendula infused oil and various nourishing creams with advanced massage techniques to safe areas. This treatment can be done in either a massage chair for lower back aches and discomfort or on a massage bed where the mother will lie on her side for treatment on hips and legs as well as back discomfort. Pre-natal massage improves the tonicity of the skin and comfort of the back and creates a sense of total relaxation.

Remedial Care Massage is a deep tissue massage that efficiently treats injuries. It removes blockages and damaged cells, speeding up recovery and encouraging complete healing. Regular massage ensures that unnoticeably small injuries are treated before they reduce performance. It effectively removes scar tissue remaining after old injuries, reducing repeat injuries. Lack of blood supply to the spine is a significant cause of long-term back pain. Lack of movement and incorrect use of muscles reduces oxygen supply, resulting in pain. Remedial Care Massage increases blood supply to soft tissue. Following a recent injury, improvement or complete recovery is seen after 1-3 sessions. Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fibre) and vibration/shaking. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in clients with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Deep Tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is also not uncommon for receivers of Deep Tissue Massage to become sore or even bruised over the next few days after the massage. The results are achieved and seen in the days following the massage.

Hot Stone Therapy 60 min £45.00
This technique has been used for thousands of years for harmonising, cleansing and relaxing the body at its deepest level. Volcanic in origin, lava stones from deep in the earth, are rich in minerals and can be heated and used for deep body massage and intensive energy work. They may be placed on specific energy points or Chakras to help the body clear blocked energy centres, help relax and dissolve stress, drawing excess hyper-energy away from over-stimulated areas and bringing new energy to depleted zones. Different mineralogy in cold stones may bring a cooling, clearing effect when placed on the eyelids. A stone massage uses cold or water-heated stones to apply pressure and heat to the body. Stones coated in oil can also be used by the therapist delivering various massaging strokes. As the stones are placed along the recipient's back, they help to retain heat which then deeply penetrates into the muscles, releasing tension.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage 60 min £45.00
Manual Lymph Drainage is an advanced form of massage that aims to stimulate the lymphatic system to remove congestion and stagnation from within the body, and so help it return to a healthy condition. Developed in the 1930's, it has been found that many chronic conditions can be alleviated with lymphatic drainage and massage techniques. The treatment involves a consultation and a massage using gentle rhythmic pumping techniques. Follow up advice on diet and other ways to stimulate the lymph may also be given. Symptoms that are said to respond well to MLD are a weakened immune system, chronic congestion (sinus etc), rheumatoid arthritis and the healing of wounds, burns and scars. MLD is also often incorporated into the treatment and control of Lymph oedema.
